SOLODOS IN DANCE OURENSE 2023 PROGRAM

FINALISTS

-I WILL NEVER DANCE ALONE by Diego Garrido. It makes us travel, to find the lost hope after a great loss. It offers us to find that brightness that makes its way through the shadows, the dancer himself being a light in himself, and that serves for us as spectators to remember that within us there is also that light, and that hope that could well be to a greater or lesser extent forgotten.

 

 

-PICNIC ON THE MOON by Júlia Godino and Alexa Moya. Picnic on the Moon is a “tableau vivant” of two individuals in the South of France spending the afternoon in a park, enjoying a picnic in the sun and the soft breeze caressing their hair. What if they suddenly realized that the sun is actually a light bulb and that a nice breeze is coming from a fan?

 

 

-MINERVA by Alicia Verdú. She embodies a woman of the present who is full of stories from a past that she does not know, but senses. He travels through a tunnel of stories where the notion of time is disappearing, therefore, he suffers from physical and mental schizophrenia.

 

 

-LES PASSANTS by Patricia Hastewell Puig and Noé Ferey. Les Passants is a contemporary dance and physical theater duo with a cinematographic style format where scenes are linked with visual and physical games. Each one has its own character with its characters, details and relationships. Everything takes place in an apparently mundane space where bodies are transformed, sizes expand and time is manipulated, thus creating a dreamlike space.

 

 

-EXTEND AS IF I COULD by Julia Laport. This piece seeks to put the body on the edge. Put on the edge of the body, in the outermost layer before the other. Extend as if my body were mine as if there were something else, as if I could blur the edges of the skin to live in the illusion of an unlimited body.

SÓLODOS EN DANZA is a Cultural Cooperation project, an artistic-social project that generates exchange and mobility between artists. It uses different collaboration strategies, to build a cultural bridge between artists from two continents (America / Europe).

THE SÓLODOS CULTURAL PLATFORM works to disseminate dance and the arts of movement. Their projects promote dance as a social tool and cultural development, generating spaces for collaboration between cultural projects, creating initiatives that allow the exchange of knowledge between public and private institutions, performing arts centers, artists, the public, and society in general.
