DANZA NO CAMIÑO is a choreographic project that proposes a vision of our Heritage through art, dance and music, its performers and composers, having as its main source of inspiration the Camino de Santiago as it passes through Galicia.
The project presented here as DANZA NO CAMIÑO is the extension in Galicia of a program carried out in Castilla y León since 2019 called Danza en el Camino. In a very short time this program knew how to become a valuable reference in the Spanish panorama in terms of street dance events.
Now a new project is exposed that is to enter the Community of Galicia, through a Gala in three locations: Santiago de Compostela, Sarria and Portomarín. Since 2022 "Danza no Camiño" in Galicia and "Danza en el Camino" in Castilla y León come together to enjoy a total of 12 locations on the Camiño de Santiago from the communities of Castilla y León and Galicia, something unusual, unique, unprecedented in terms of artistic manifestations of dance in the street and in terms of the number of autonomies, deputations and town halls.
The enormous potential that the Xacobea Route contains is the driving force behind this success which, together with Dance, establishes an exemplary link, an artistic amalgam that serves as a catalyst so that other Autonomous Communities attached to the Camino de Santiago also want to enjoy this great show.
