Ese pájaro no puede estar en esta plaza drags us into the overflowing world of two characters, under an absurd plot with a nonexistent bird, who place us as spectators in the observation of the conflict that removes them. A story connected by innuendo and sung half-words, where something is suspected of shaking and fluttering them. Two exaggerated characters full of fuss, under the drama and the excessive anecdote, the excess and the subtlety, that give wings to this street uproar.

We have an identity but ... is it born or made? We choose what attracts us and we try to acquire it as usual. In this way we will identify ourselves with everything that responds to those determined forms. What happens when new influences invade us? We can let go of our roots to delve into new discoveries, or realize that we do not feel identified and return more firmly to where we started. Either way our identity will be amplified.

With “Siam Effect” we want to explore the concept of the physical union between two people, as it happens with Siamese twins. In this way, investigate, through a silent debate, the permissiveness of the movement with this restriction and implying the emotional side that this could entail. Communicate through kinesthetic passwords and emphasizing the inherent dependence of two human beings who came into the world within the same skin.

"VAMOS" is a piece born from a very clear reference, but a year later the reference is almost that I am myself. It started as silly with my friend Chey Jurado, I simply taught him how to imitate Nadal's manias. So, everything starts from there, from the manias, so crazy, of Rafa Nadal before each serve. It is a process of discovery and a personal challenge where I have broken with mental barriers that prevented me from developing an artistic creation.

ROCÍO BARRIGA and LUNA SÁNCHEZ - CÍA LA BASAL / QUIRAL-1,5m / CÁDIZ - SEVILLA

Quiral -1.5m- is a choreographic proposal that looks for different personalities within the same being. What would it be like to live with them, what would it be like to discover that what seemed identical and related to you, can become your greatest adversary. In this way, two bodies build a solid unity, share space and time and unite through the hands, the "red zone", something that the eye has become unaccustomed to in this new normal.

Investigating with the choreographer Luis Marrafa, Vertebrata was born. An emotional journey in which the body is moved by the noise that inhabits it. He finds it difficult to control his internal impulses, trying to decipher and even control them. A sway between the slight suffocation of intent and the heavy burden of weakness. It is the expression of an animal that externalizes through movement, the different states of its matter.

The Beauty of It is a contemporary dance solo that tells us about the fragility of the person and that offers us a reflection on the authenticity of the actions or characters that one creates. Is everything we experience real? What is the difference between acting and behaving as we are? This dichotomy in a person means that sometimes we cannot distinguish between what is reality and what is the dream.

By stating that the body is the primary site of oppression in Western society, the contributors to this pioneering volume explore the complex issue of incarnation and how it relates to social inclusion and marginalization. In a culture where the bodies of people who are brown, black, female, transgender, disabled, fat, or queer are often shamed, sexualized, ignored, and oppressed. What does it mean to live in a marginalized body?
