TIEMPO / Nacho Cárcaba / Asturias / Winner of SóLODOS En Danza / Ourense / 2018 with Costa Rica Tour

Interpreter and choreography: Nacho Cárcaba

Time, living in the skin, in the bones, in that which moves from one to the other, inhabiting in its skin, in its bones, in that which moves them, to each other, ... discover a moment while others begin to run in search of his time, he will inhabit his skin, his bones and move ... from one to another.

THE WEIGHT OF GOLD / Milki Lee / Aragón

Interpreter and choreography: Milki Lee | External Vision: Teresa Magallón.

Piece based on images of the poems "Alphabet" by Inger Chrisrtensen. His verses knot my skin and throat. From ollos and its resonance in my head was born the song that gives title and connection to the piece between his poems and dance.

ROJO / Victoria P. Miranda / Madrid

Idea, choreography and interpretation: Victoria P. Miranda | Choreography assistant: Carmen Werner | Costumes: Matías Zanotti and Victoria P. Miranda

ROJO is a project that proposes the body as the first meeting place with us, with the world, as a space of thought, producer of units of sensation, of concepts, of pleasure, our bodies in chaos, our bodies as bridges, reflecting on our contexts, I am interested in finding myself in difference, in disagreement, in dissonance, becoming creation from the body, from the vital movement.

SOLOS AND DUETS CREATION CONTEST / SEMIFINALISTS

1st Semifinal

DESAPARECER EN TRES ACTOS / Julia Nicolau / Madrid

Choreographer and performer: Julia Nicolau

Disappearing in three acts is the end result of an exploratory process about the disappearance of the body through movement. It is based on three concepts that, in my opinion, bring me closer to the de-subjectivation and silence that disappears. The wait: the one that leads us to boredom, to what is stagnant and redundant. The absence of the other; the emptiness caused by the disappearance of otherness. And Happiness, at which time my feet stop touching the earth and I can almost feel that I fly.

11.11 / Rocío Suárez / Cataluña

Choreographer: Rocío Suárez | Performers: Rocío Suárez and Ignacio Jiménez

“11:11” It is a duo that dances about equality while we dance. A fictitious equality, since it is impossible for two people to be equal, either for physical reasons, but also for circumstantial reasons, such as space and time. And, despite its impossibility, this choreography continues to intentionally, as well as randomly, propose the most similar situation possible between both dancing bodies.

MIÑAXOIA / Clara Ferrao  / Galicia

Choreographer and performer: Clara Ferrao | Direction: Maximiliano Sandford

A body, a vibration, a crunch, a fracture. It does not destroy me. This situation is not taken into account, and I, miñaxoia, trust that this will change. Sometimes everything seems invisible, there is only the body, only fatigue, only the inexhaustible movement that allows me to recognize where I am. Organized chance opens a blank space in which to enter. The body fades, finds a new vibration. The body is transformed, there will be a solution that I don't know.

EFECTO SIAM / Colectivo Sin Par · Lara Misó and Wilma Puentes / Andalucía

Choreographers and performers: Lara Misó and Wilma Puentes

With “Siam Effect” we want to explore the concept of physical union between two people, just as with the Siamese people. To investigate in this way, through a mute debate, on the permissiveness of the movement with this restriction and implying the emotional side that this could entail. Communicate through kinesthetic passwords and emphasizing the inherent dependence of two human beings who came into the world within the same skin.

PHASE / Mario González / Madrid

Choreographer and performer: Mario González

Phase is an individual piece that talks about social rules by entering into a process of disobedience from our most visceral part. Phase talks about everything that doesn't fit. Phase leads to a grieving process between the established and our instinct. We could imagine that boy who does not recognize his sexuality or who does not understand religions. We have all experienced a moment of mourning to recreate ourselves.

2nd Semifinal

MUJER / Sybila Gutiérrez · Cía Dunatacá / Comunidad Valenciana

Choreographer and performer: Sybila Gutiérrez

Who is always the same person? I am many and at least today I want to show you several versions of the woman I live in. It is hard for me to show you my guts, to tell you my story, because there you are going to see me really, naked. Sometimes I wear a "suit" to survive, a dress of voices of announcements and mothers. Others show me vulnerable in privacy. Maybe today I decide to say enough, be what you can't, walk with my own steps. A journey between showing himself and not, between inhabiting that “suit” or breaking it.

LO INVISIBLE / Rolando Salamé and Katia Humenyuk · Cía No Bautizados / Madrid

Choreographers and performers: Rolando Salamé and Katia Humenyuk

Lo Invisible it is a dance piece that explores the vital sensations of some determining moments in a person's life. This piece is a dance of the conscious and the unconscious, of the visible and the invisible, of the forces that take us away from our dreams, that subject us, but also of an indomitable nature that reveals itself to what can separate us from what essential of our path, and where the interpreters play with their physical differences and life experiences to show the duality of this being, each of the dancers representing their contradictions, successes, desires and fears.

BASIUM / Alexander Espinoza / Comunidad Valenciana

Choreographer: Alexander Espinoza / Performers: Carmela García and Alexander Espinoza

The proposal tries to show the phases through which a kiss passes, although not in a linear way in time, sensations like floating in the air, melting you by the idea of a kiss, or drowning you by so many sensations together, how not only is it fun if nonaddictive. The initial idea is to represent the piece in the street with the costumes and the body soaked as if we were underwater, how the game with the drops of water can also enter the scene and how they can make a link with the public and the performers , is an idea that I find interesting to explore.

OPP / Lara Munín / Galicia - Cataluña

Choreographer and performer:  Lara Munín

“Opp” It is inspired by my grandfather. He suffered from muscular myopathy that prevented him from correctly moving the lower trunk of the body. I took this idea, and turned it over. What would happen if the only thing that can move with absolute awareness and control are the legs? Through the investigation of this idea, I have developed a personal quality of movement. Opp can talk about the existence of opposites, the duality of facts and decisions and the search for agreement for progress; but also of many other things because its internal dialogue invites the audience to create their own story and make their own connections.

ESE PÁJARO NO PUEDE ESTAR EN ESTA PLAZA / Violeta Iriberri / Cataluña

Choreographer: Violeta Iriberri / Performers: Raúl Lorenzo and Violeta Iriberri

That bird cannot be in this square drags us into the overflowing world of two characters, under an absurd plot with a non-existent bird, which places us as spectators in observing the conflict that removes them. A story connected by insinuations and half sung words, where something is suspected that agitates and flutters. Two characters exaggerated and full of fuss, under the drama and excessive anecdote, excess and subtlety, which give wings to this street uproar.
